AUSSIE STAR CHRIS HOLDER IS OUT TO END SGP 2018 “ON A HIGH” AS HE HEADS INTO TONIGHT’S GERMAN FIM SPEEDWAY GRAND PRIX IN TETEROW.
Aussie star Chris Holder is out to end SGP 2018 “on a high” as he heads into tonight’s German FIM Speedway Grand Prix in Teterow.
The Sydneysider has endured a tough season by his high standards and is yet to reach a final this year as he stands 12th in the World Championship on 53 points – 17 short of the top-eight automatic qualification places for SGP 2019.
But Holder recorded his joint best performance of the season last time out in Krsko – scoring 10 points and reaching the AZTORIN Slovenian SGP semis. With strong starts and much more speed, it was a much-improved display from the 2012 world champion.
He said: “Krsko was much better and I felt good. We got something working so now it’s just about taking that forward and having another good one in Germany.
“It’s not an easy place to figure out, but the plan is to pick up where we left off in Slovenia and just score as many points as possible.
“I want to end the season on a high and it’d be cool to start that this weekend.”
