MONSTER ENERGY TEAM THIRD IN RZESZOW. Second round of this year’s Speedway Best Pairs took place on friday night at Rzeszow, Poland. Chris made a comeback to Monster Energy Team after missing first round earlier this year.
Monster Energy finished third in opening round in Torun. Greg Hancock and Pawel Przedpelski completed Monster Energy Team’s line-up in Rzeszow.
Chris and Monster Energy Team started the meeting well with 5-1 win over Starkom Racing Team. Chris made a great start from outside gate and took a heat win pretty easily while Hancock finished second. In second heat Chris finished second behing Fogo Power’s Jarek Hampel. Emil Sayfutdinov was giving a pressure for Chris, but Chris managed to hold on to second place.
In Monster Energy Team’s third heat they took 4-2 win over ekantor.pl Team. Hancock took heat win and Chris took a third place before Patryk Dudek. In team’s fourth heat Chris took his second heat win of the night. This time Chris took good start from gate two and battled with Team Bauhaus’ Andreas Jonsson for heat win. In the end Chris was faster on the finish line. In last regular heat Chris was left without points, but Monster Energy Team got enough points to advance in semi-finals.
In semifinal Monster Energy Team got against ekantor.pl Team. Chris was holding on second place with Hancock on third, which would been enough for them to make the final, but then Chris’ bike got mechanical issue and he couldn’t finish the heat. So Team Monster Energy finished the meeting on third place. Chris scored nine points from six rides. Meeting was won by Fogo Power. Last round of this year’s series will be held on 10th of May in Landshut, Germany.
