TEAM AUSTRALIA LEFT WITHOUT FINAL SPOT IN SWC RACE OFF

TEAM AUSTRALIA LEFT WITHOUT FINAL SPOT IN SWC RACE OFF. Team Australia and it’s skipper Chris had qualified for Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup Race Off, which took place in Leszno, Poland on friday night.

Chris had scored massive 19 points in Event 1. Team Australia got their number 1 Jason Doyle back for Race Off. Aussies got against Team Russia, Team Latvia and Team Usa.

It was a tough night for favourite Aussies, as they were left second in the meeting and without a place in this year’s SWC final. Team Russia won the meeting with 46 points. Team Australia scored 33 to take the second place. Team Latvia scored 30 and Team Usa 15 points.

Chris had a nightmare start to the meeting when he finished last in his opening heat. In second heat Chris came second and scored two points after Russian Andrei Kudriashov. In third heat Chris was second again, this time Russian and SGP rival Emil Sayfutdinov won the heat. In fourth heat Chris was replaced with Jason Doyle who took joker ride for Team Australia. In last heat Chris scored two points yet again behind of Kudriashov. Chris scored from his four rides six points.

Second place in Race Off meant Team Australia came fifth in this year’s World Cup, when only winner from Race Off was through to SWC final.
